Jay Choquette

Jay Choquette was an IBJJF Masters World Champion at Purple Belt in 2021. He received his brown belt for this accomplishment and was later involved in a traumatic motorcycle accident in June of 2023. This accident cost Jay his left leg, with massive body trauma, and obliterated his right, losing most of the motor function in his right leg and having his hips and pelvis bolted together. JiuJitsu quite literally saved Jay’s life by enabling him the physical ability and mental clarity, to drag himself out of a rock ravine to get help after his wreck. His goal is to help others save themselves as well, regardless of their disability, through the mental and physical strength that JiuJitsu can build. Jay received his black belt via Professor Rob Ables of Marcelo Garcia Dallas on July 27, 2024.
